DAY 1.-ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO HOTEL- ACCLIMATIZATION DAY
DAY 2 HUARAZ – PARON LAKE – BASE CAMP
We will depart in the morning, towards the north of the Callejón
de Huaylas until the province of Caraz. From here we will begin to
ascend through an affirmed path for approximately 2 and a half hours
until we enter the Paron Valley and lake. From there we will continue
walking for approximately an hour to the Base Camp.
DAY 3 BASE CAMP – CAMP 1
After breakfast we will depart heading towards Camp 1 at
approximately 5200m.
DAY 4 CAMP 1 – SUMMIT – BASE CAMP
We will begin our climb very early in the morning at around
1 or 2AM, while the snow is hard. Approximately 4 hours separate us
from our objective, the summit of the Artesonraju (6025m). From the
summit there is a panoramic view of the Andes. From here on will head
back to the base camp.
DAY 5 BASE CAMP – PARON LAKE – HUARAZ
In the morning, after breakfast we get ready our camping equipment
and begin our walk back, which is approximately 1 hour until where
our bus awaits for us. Once in the bus we will descend to the city
of Caraz where we will have lunch, and take the chance to visit the
central plaza, and then finally arrive in Huaraz at approximately
3PM.
